Configuration Promotion implementation for Workflows

Workflow promotion

Configuration Promotion for Workflows is based on the PromotableEntity and PromotableEntityGroup model's data (same as the regular Configuration Promotion process) except it has its own set of endpoints because of the additional business logic related to the Flow types which requires a different way of filtering the promotable data.

PromotableEntityGroups for Workflows depending on Flow types

Workflow promotion currently includes 3 promotion groups:

1. Analytics Engineering (AE Workflow Group):
   • [dbo].[workflows_workflow] (root table)
   • [dbo].[workflows_flowgroup]
   • [dbo].[workflows_flowgroupjoin]
   • [dbo].[flows_flow]
   • [model].[Entity]
   • [model].[EntityClass]
   • [model].[EntityColumn]
   • [model].[EntityColumnType]
   • [model].[EntityDependency]
   • [model].[EntityType]
   • [model].[Model]
2. Data Acquisition (DAQ Workflow Group):
   • [dbo].[workflows_workflow] (root table)
   • [dbo].[workflows_flowgroup]
   • [dbo].[workflows_flowgroupjoin]
   • [dbo].[flows_flow]
   • [state_config].[DatabaseList]
   • [state].[FieldList]
   • [dbo].[flows_flowsourceentity]
   • [state].[ObjectList]
3. Custom Workflow:
   • [dbo].[workflows_workflow] (root table)
   • [dbo].[workflows_flowgroup]
   • [dbo].[workflows_flowgroupjoin]
   • [dbo].[flows_flow]
   • [dbo].[flows_flowparameter]

Workflow promotion has the same request body as for Flow Groups withadvancedFilters that expects a single object:
